Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce
A delicious Italian style pasta sauce made of tomatoes and basil.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

onions
very finely chopped

cloves
garlic
crushed

sea salt
Freshly ground
black pepper
400
grams
chopped tomatoes
1
tbsp
sugar

tbsp
Fresh Basil Leaves
roughly chopped
Instructions
Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a pan and sauté the onions, garlic, salt and pepper until the onion has softened - about 8-10 minutes.
Reduce the heat to a low setting and continue to cook for about another 10 minutes.
Add the tinned chopped tomatoes, sugar and the chopped basil.
Simmer simmer gently for another 15 minutes or until you have reached the desired consistency.
Garnish with torn basil leaves to serve.
