The perfect accompaniment to your Christmas turkey, and without doubt one of the most important 'trimmings' on the Christmas table.
Ingredients
100gramsgranulated sugar
100gramsport
400gramsfresh cranberriesrinsed
Zest and juice of one whole orange
1star anise and/ or a stick of cinammonoptional
Instructions
Put all the ingredients into a pan and bring to the boil.
Simmer for 9 - 10 minutes, until the cranberries have broken down to a rough pulp, stirring frequently to stop the sauce sticking. Use a wooden spoon to help crush any remaining whole cranberries.
Serve immediately or keep in the fridge for a few days.
